TIPS & INFO FOR A SMOOTH TRIP

Greetings & High Vibrations

So you want to take a trip? Whether it’s your very first time cruising into the unknown or you’ve taken this route some time before, I have provided you with some tips and information to help you prepare for and enjoy a smooth & beautiful ride. The tips & info presented are prompted from frequently asked questions that I’ve received over my 5 years of working with 🍄. My answers are based on my own experiences as well as experiences that have been shared with me by people I have journeyed with, provided 🍄 medicine for, and connected with over the years.

I highly encourage you to use this as a pre-guide and use your own intuition and understanding to guide you beyond it. Remember this trip is YOURS, exclusively. It will be unique to you and your own consciousness, your own experiences, your own perspective and perceptions. Be open to your own inner-guidance and trust yourself to lead you to your destination (and back), safely & soundly.

Proper Prep

Who? What? When? Where? Why? How?

These are the questions you want to answer before beginning your journey.

* WHO Will Accompany You?

* If you’re taking this trip solo, cool beans.

* If you plan on being with or around others, I suggest you choose your others wisely!

* You want to be around people who you trust, people who you can be vulnerable with— naked even. (Figuratively & literally— I’ve literally stripped naked before cuz the river told me to lol). Choose people who you feel comfortable around and with whom you would like to explore your truest self, and quite possibly, theirs too.

* What Do You Need?

* Before you begin your journey, it’s good to make a list of things you will need during that time.

* On average, from the folks I’ve connected with through 🍄 medicine, I would say a 3.5g dosage typically lasts between 5 to 12 hours, but can exceed 12 hours.

* What all do you use and what all do you need to have on hand within a 12 hour period? That’s what you will want to list.

* This is the time to think about your medical items too such as inhalers or prescription meds that you may need to take within this time. You can gather them all in one space.

* What do you need to eat? Granted, many ppl don’t have an appetite while on the journey but it’s good to keep some snacks on hand. Fresh fruit, granola bars, a pre-made or pre-ordered lunch, etc might be cool. Even if you just decide what you will eat beforehand and make/get it while you’re “cruising,” it can be helpful to have a go-to plan, meal, snacks, WATER, etc on deck.

* It's perfectly normal to have no appetite during your ride.

* When is the BEST time to take this trip?

* Ideally you want as few distractions, unnecessary/unwanted interactions, obligations, and stressors, as possible.

* Day & night are different worlds but both have some awesome features.

* You also want to have time to rest after your trip.

* Where is the BEST place to experience this journey?

* Super important. You want to be ducked off away from anyone who can disrupt your journey. You definitely want to be ducked off away from the opps.

* The space you will experience your come up & peak should be a space you can be ducked off at for at least 2-4 hours. You’ll be able to determine your own ability to drive or function in society, but just in case you need to ground yourself first, give yourself a good space to relax and enjoy those first few hours.

* I drive fine on 🍄 once I’m past my peak and I can’t think of anyone I’ve talked to who has tried to drive & not been able to. You can plan to move from place to place during your journey. But also have a space to be stationary, just in case.

* I highly suggest pre-planning space to go outside & get in nature during your journey. Even if it’s just standing on your balcony or sitting in your backyard, or walking around the block. If you can go to the park or something, awesome. 🍄 & nature just go hand in hand. There is much to learn from nature and the ability to hear from the various spirits in nature is significantly heightened by the medicine.

* Again, make sure you have space to be ducked off away from other ppl who you aren’t journeying with until you are grounded enough to do so.

* Why are you choosing to take this trip?

* Answer that for yourself. Maybe even write it down. This will help you set intentions for your journey and give you a pivot point to center back to throughout your journey. Remember the mushrooms are living beings and do respond to our intentions so be clear. Again, journaling through this can be beneficial!

* How will you co-create a beautiful experience with the 🍄?

* Once you have your date, time and location determined, you know what all you’ll need, and you have set your intentions, you can prepare yourself and your space for your journey.

* Some things I keep on hand for my journeys are “sensational items.” Things that appeal to my senses, since they are so heightened while journeying.

* If inside, I love candles, incense and essential oils.

* Sometimes I like to enjoy dope visuals. I might plan to hike for mountain views of the full moon on a starry night, or pre-pitch a tent near the river. If inside I may play a video like The Splendor of Color in my peace-filled room.

* I love warm blankets & hot cocoa or tea when it’s cool. I enjoy fruit & cool water when it’s warm.

* I love stretching and moving so I keep my yoga mat on hand + my speaker.

* If I’m going for a hike or planning an oceanside trip, I keep a blanket to sit or lay on, a change of clothes, wipes, and other essentials.

* I like to keep a crystal or two on me for heightened meditation & for grounding.

* Water water water

* It can be helpful to create a playlist of good vibe music for your journey in case you come into a space where you want music. Often 🍄 causes us to want to disconnect from our phones and devices so a pre-prepped playlist is a good go-to if you wanna set a vibe. You can choose your fave mood music that makes you feel however you want to feel while you are up. I have a playlist or two, if you’d like some suggestions

* DND (Do Not Disturb) with a loud ringer for important calls can be helpful.

* It can be beneficial to fast before your journey. A few days before or even just the day of, you can try eating lighter foods in preparation for your journey. If you do, do this with spiritual intention.

Dosage

* The â…› Dosage

* ⅛ oz (3.5g) is typically a proper & standard dosage for triggering the “full effect” including but not limited to:

* visuals

* extra-sensory information detection

* higher consciousness

* catharsis

* 5g & Up

* The highest dosage I’ve taken is 5g but I’ve heard of much higher dosages. Do your research and determine which dosage sounds most ideal to you!

Directions

* My preferred way to take 🍄 is by breaking down the stems and caps into really small pieces and then pouring boiling hot water over them and letting them soak. You can use a grinder to break them down. I, personally, like to put my hands in it.

* ***Cranberry juice & citrus fruit juice such as orange, grapefruit, lemon & key lime help maximize extraction so using one of these juices for a portion of your liquid content is a plus… ***

* For every 3.5 grams of 🍄, I use 2 cups of water. That’s 16 fluid ounces of water to ⅛ oz of 🍄.

During this time, as I’m preparing, I set my intentions. As I break down the mushrooms, I pray over them and ask them to fulfill their purpose for me. Sometimes I have set intentions for my journey, which I will communicate to them. Other times, I simply ask them to take me where I need to go and show me what I need to know

Here’s My Process:

1. I bring 1.5 cups of water to a boil

2. In a cup, I pour the boiling water over the broken down 🍄

3. I add 0.5 cup of juice (totaling 2 cups of fluid)

4. I let it steep for at least an hour. Most often I steep for a few hours or overnight.

5. Finally, once my space is prepared and I’m ready to take off, I drink the tea and consume the shrooms.

6. **It typically takes up to an hour to kick in**

The Come Up

This is the phase where the medicine begins to kick in and you begin to “take off.” Many things in your internal and external reality will become heightened and highly energized.

* I like to spend “the come up” phase in a fairly relaxed and meditative state. I’ll either begin warming up for an extended stretch or just go lie in the sun or on my bed until it hits. Once it hits I like to do some yoga, meditation, dancing, deep breathing etc to harness the energy because it can be a lot.

* For some it takes a minute to adjust to this new heightened energy. Meditation, movement, deep breathing, nature, grounding crystals and/or calming music may help with the adjustment.

The Peak

Here’s the time to go deep within and explore the unknown. All journeys vary so again, trust your intuition and follow your inner-guidance. This is the time to unwind, unleash, uncover and release your inhibitions.

* You may feel the frequent urge to release bodily fluids. You may have to spit, pee, shit etc and you should release as much as you can. (You may wanna take a look at what you expel from your body.. you might just get some revelations from it.)

* You may feel the need to cry or laugh or yell or act really childlike or get super serious. All of these reactions are normal and I encourage you to roll with it and surrender to your self.

* Sometimes “darker” or “negative” thoughts come through but know it is in your power to move those thoughts and vibes away

* If you’re up for it, you can explore your darkness without fear. You can allow your thoughts to take you to those deep dark places.
